We all know the effects of data loss, but what exactly?

Data loss - A crash in computing is a condition where a program (either an application or the operating system) stops performing its expected function and also stops responding to other parts of the system. Often, the program will only appear to freeze. If this program is a key part of the operating system kernel the entire computer may crash (system crash).

Noting the definitions of data loss I will point out some of the reasons why it occurs, and how to retrieve data, as well as some links to specialized sites.

1. User error - A simple mistake on behalf of an employee may lead to loss of megabytes of critical company data. Since the abolition of a critical file for the accidental deletion of database files, your clients may face high costs and significant downtime made disaster recovery a simple error.

2. Employee theft - Employees need access to sensitive data to perform their jobs. Your customers have to limit the information that employees have access, ensure that employees who are dismissed and have no access to sensitive data and be able to tell who is playing what, when and how.

3. Disaster - What natural disasters or unfortunate accidents may affect the business? Daily magazines contain news of the organizations that have faced incredible disaster. In the event that the organizations or their customers are affected by fire, flood or other disaster, how the data will be protected?

One way is to have backups. Using an Iomega REV driven by Iomega Automatic Backup Pro, set up a full backup of 35 GB REV disks once a week. Once this backup is done, you can obtain the full backup offsite. With the data now back up in two places, no single event will be able to damage both data sets. This backup can be done through software support, such as Argentum Backup ™, which automatically detects and locates suitable ways folders and files in any Microsoft Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and 2003) of platform. Argentum Backup makes it safely, without any error or occasion. Argentum Backup is designed to be suitable for both beginners and advanced users

But the best way new solutions are backed up online, which helps protect your data regularly (daily, weekly or monthly). One of these sites, iStorage Iomega, one of the best security companies. This site offers a feature-rich, online storage vault perfectly designed high security to meet the needs of small and medium enterprises. Includes administrative skills give you control of shared content and accessible. Create multiple connections to the same account, so members of its own entrance and storage space and create logins for guests with restricted access

Another site is www.backup.com, where you can find another backup system online, called @ backup. Its main features are:

· Simple file search and selection is made easy with our choices, right mouse click or our browser-like interface;

• You do not have to remember to do a backup. @ Backup to that you remember. To adjust the backup schedule and we do the rest;

· We encrypt your data with security procedures at the bank before transferring over the Internet to our data centers. Your data is stored encrypted and can only be accessed with your password.

· You can restore files anytime. In the case of an accident, a virus infection or a simple user error backups are a click away. You can access your files from any PC anywhere.

These are just two of the sites offered by the online system backup. The Internet is full of offers that range from the size of the backup provided by the monthly cost of service. For their help, I've included some links to other sites where you can find details and prices of backups on-line.
