Men should learn to quit abusive marriages in time. We know the society
expects men to always 'man up' and fix their homes. This expectation puts
enormous pressure on men who are constantly abused by their partners, so
they resort to 'handling it like men'.

Handling it like men often means use of physical strength in response to
verbal attacks, psychological torture and  other formS of manipulative
behaviours from women. By the time this method kicks in, neighbours turn a
blind eye and dismiss the looming danger with the 'they're always fighting'
clause.

Eventually, a man will kill a woman and the news will break lopsidedly. The
ultimate picture will be that men are beasts and it'd be difficult to say
otherwise judging from the gory pictures of the battered face of the index
victim. All because, a husband wanted to 'man up' and 'fix shit'.

But an African man can also run away from home regardless that he pays rent
or built the house. Regardless that his people tell him he owns all the
children. Regardless that his mates will jeer at him. Instead of killing
your children's mother and going to rot in jail, why not take your clipper,
two boxers and a tooth brush and disappear in the night?😃

Baba, you can always send money for the kids if you care. Or you go to that
other woman if you can't stay by yourself to see what you can discover to
benefit the society.
