You need to create a special time for it. Do other works aside playing games, go out and meet with people, do house chores, school assignment and so on.
With these you will see you may not have time for the video games anymore and will be better.

Instead of criticizing yourself when you make mistakes in a game, use positive self-talk. Remind yourself that it's okay to make errors and that you can learn from them.
