Google Sitemaps called "an experiment in web crawling." In general, put a map on your web server. This helps crawlers identify which pages you have and add it to the search index. And when you update the site map (after changing a page or adding new content), it also marks the pages you've changed and what notes for review.

It is much more systematic and efficient random screening where there is no guarantee that web crawlers will realize the most important pages. So even if it requires an extra step for web developers, which is greater assurance that all the hard work you put in your content actually appears in searches.

Google Sitemaps was developed in part to solve the problem encountered by large web sites, which web crawlers to skip some pages and not the index of some of the content. Taking into account the effect this can have on their efforts to search engine optimization, which fails can have a big impact on your ranking. And for web sites regularly changing content (such as product sites), you want your new stock record, especially when you are actually promoting a fashion, fashion.

So in short, to get your site on Google, you have to make it easier for Google to find that, through your map. It's not as complicated as it sounds. You just use a software tool to create a map selected Google in XML format to upload to your site, then send a notification to the direction of Google. And while we're doing that anyway, to map the HTML for search engines (Yahoo, MSN, etc) and include a link to it in a discreet corner of your website. Many of these software tools can do that for you.

Is it expensive? Not really. For smaller sites (less than 500 pages) you can find several free Google Sitemap generator. Look for those that allow you to restrict the directories that have been registered, and give instructions as to the files to index and which to avoid. This can be programmed through the filters and settings. For your convenience, you also want allowing you to include PDF,. Doc,. Xls y. Documents zip.

The larger sites may require a skilled webmaster, you can install a program in place to help you index it to generate a site map. Of course, you can do on their own (and again, XML sitemap find many tutorials on the Internet and software), but with 800 pages probably need to handle web administration concerns to think about. It's easier to go to a professional. Or at least, invest in a very efficient XML software will take care of most of the details and has several tools and functions available.

Once you have chosen a program (or hire someone to set it up for you), you will need to create a Google Account. They do not charge for the service, and you want to get features such as tracking the status of your Sitemaps and review diagnostic information for their sites.

Now you are ready to conquer Google.
