POEM: I AM A LAGOSIAN

I am a lagosian
Because I never left
The shores of my village
To see the skyscrapers
On Eko Atlantic city
Which bespectacled governor Ifa-shola
Hold a cradle
Dear to his heart
To behold the beauties
Of the new Igbeyninlari Eko
Where somewhat Lagos visa
You must have
When next you visit
Your home town
And LASMA
Refuses you a re-entry
Where we Lagosians
Will board LAMATA Baba raji
Transport buses
From stadium to marina
And I ferry back to mile two where
I board another LAMATA light rail coach
To
Local government development council area
Where I lay my back for the night.
