POEM: TO A DEAR SISTER

Dear sister
From distant plain
Yet quite near
On God’s own earth
Have I hatched
All my arch enemies
Of God and man’s ploy
To make deeds sure
That you organized
Life’s toil
From burning midnight candles
   Is before us
   Futile lay
   As I know
   Funny it may sound
The true Christian faith
In God ever our strength
Be renewed
   Despite life’s seas
Our God will turn
Fish harvest
Cause if we
Trust, faith and hope
In God
