The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo State seems to have taken a dramatic twist as the party faces looming implosion, following ongoing moves my members of the state House of Assembly to impeach Gov. Rochas Okorocha, Igbere Tv has learnt.

Credible Information from Owerri indicates that 22 of the 27 lawmakers have concluded plans and are currently gathering signatures to impeach the embattled governor.

A reliable Assembly source told IGBERE TV that the Lawmakers comprises of both Members of the All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party making it a bipartisan move.

According to the source, who didn’t want to be named:

“the All Progressives Congress Lawmakers are furious they were denied Tickets to return to the House or proceed to the Federal House of Representatives. While the PDP Lawmakers see the move as an opportunity to correct the alleged Wrongs of 7 years of Okorocha’s maladministration.”

Igbere Tv recalls that Okorocha is currently at loggerheads with his party the APC at both the National and the state levels with his anointed  Candidates, including his Son-in-law, Uche Nwosu losing out in the Party’s Primaries to the Hope and Madumere Faction of the Party.
