Buhari signs Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill into law.

The president signed the bill this afternoon inside the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Buhari had, in his Democracy Day broadcast on Tuesday, pledged to sign the bill.

The bill was passed by the National Assembly last year to alter Sections 65, 106, 131, 177 of the Constitution to reduce the age qualification for

 Presidential Aspirants from 40yrs to 30yrs

Governorship Aspirants from 35yrs to 30yrs

Senate Aspirants from 35yrs to 30yrs

 House of Representatives Aspirants from 30yrs to 25yrs and

 State House of Assembly Aspirants from 30yrs to 25yrs
