Presidency: We Must Choose Leadership Over Electability

The English Premier League is over and we’ve found a pastime in politics. It’s politics, politics, politics– politics everywhere!

In the elevators, in the streets, in bars and restaurants—we are eating, drinking and breathing politics, literally. Politicians are out there, pledging to build a bridge where there is no river. They are promising to build a church here and a mosque there. They are promising all that they are asked to—and more. After all, promises cost nothing!

Not to be missed out in a politician’s diary today are weddings, funerals and sporting events. Nothing excites them like big crowds. They are suddenly with us after hibernating for five years.

Well, all we ask for, let Kenya be far better than its now. As people need high standard of living in the country.
