GOD DOES NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR EFFORT
I took out some time to meditate on why many people undergo delay, they have been expecting some of Gods promises to be fulfilled. But it looks like the more they expect the more it is delayed. I found out that God is not the problem but the lack of the right effort is the problem. The truth is this; GOD DOES NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR EFFORT. You need to understand that you have a part to play if you want prophecies to be fulfilled.
Proverbs 13 vs.15
Good understanding gives favour…
1st timothy 1 vs. 18
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
You have a role to play for the promises you are expecting to come to pass, your pastor notwithstanding. The length of the delay is irrelevant. Your effort in faith is the answer.
Israel was in bondage for 430 years and not until they cried, their struggle continued.
Exodus 2 vs. 23-24.
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob
Time is going, enough of the waiting. You need to put the right effort or you might remain in the same spot. What is this right Effort? It is the effort of faith.
James 2 vs. 20
But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
An effortless faith is as good as no faith at all. The absence of doubt does not connote faith. You need works that is, certain efforts to make your faith produce result.
WHAT IS FAITH?
1. Faith is not just believing God, faith is behaving God to prove that you believe and thereby becoming what he wants you to be. God told Abraham to depart and he left, not knowing where to go. At another time He told Abraham to sacrifice his only son after waiting for 25 years. And Abraham moved. So faith is the dynamic, faith is moves. Genesis 22 vs. 2-3
2. Faith is not just depending on God; faith is obeying the word of God to prove that you are depending on Him. Faith is a responsibility. You have your part to play. One day is more than enough for God to change your story if you employ the right effort.
3. Faith is not just praying and fasting; Prayers without reasoning is void. Isaiah 1 vs. 18 says come let us reason together. Faith is reasoning with God in His word, and then you can pray and fast to enforce what you have discovered by reasoning/meditation.
4. Faith needs hope. Faith is not the absence of hope; rather faith is the complement of hope. Hebrews 11 vs. 1, now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. To be hopeless is to be faithless. Your faith needs hope to deliver. Look at this illustration, it will help your understanding, faith is the husband of hope, faith impregnates hope and hope delivers a baby called testimony. So you need hope. That is why you must not give up, keep your hope alive.
5. Boldness is a catalyst of faith; the effort of confidence is a requirement for your boldness to come alive. Courage is the enemies’ greatest threat. David was able to face goliath because he dealt with the lion and the bear while taking care of his father’s sheep. Challenges come to build your courage. From today as you approach, oppositions will be clearing the way for you.
6. Faith is in the Now. It does not take time it only takes God. God can act Now as I am talking to you. He created the world in just 6 days, 2 seconds is too much for Him to move. Get on key with the word of God and your miracle shall be born.
Before I close, you must understand that there is only one foundation for faith. This foundation is the word of God.
Romans 10:17,
Faith comes by hearing and hearing of the word of God.
What are you constantly hearing; you are what you constantly hear. Please make sure you are always hearing the word of God, at home, by reading the bible, in your car by listening to tapes. As you hear and hear, your spirit will hear and when your spirit hears, your body will take steps. The next step you take from now is your miracle-step, be blessed in Jesus Name.
