PROMISES, THE PROBLEM OF MANY
Have you ever made a promise to someone but didn’t fulfill it? I guess you have at one point or the other. Promises are good but if you don’t fulfill them then you are in debt because a promise is a debt.
Proverbs 3 vs. 28
Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
God judges us in the same way we treat others. If you are the type that makes promises without fulfilling them, then Gods promises towards you may not be fulfilled or could be delayed.
Nobody forced you to make that promise you have not fulfilled till now, fulfill it because it’s a debt, it’s a yoke, and it’s a burden. If you know you will not fulfill that promise to a friend then don’t make it. Your words are commitments, they are like judges. Many people are under the yoke of unfulfilled or broken promises. You want God to answer that prayer of yours but have you fulfilled the promise you made to that friend of yours?
Don’t you ever tell a girl you will marry her when you don’t mean it. Do not be deceived whatsoever you sow is what you reap. Galatians 6 vs. 7.
Are you wondering why that man or woman has not done what he/she promised. It could be because you have not fulfilled the one you made to somebody else.
If you know you won’t call that person on phone do not give him hope that you will, a promise not fulfilled is a debt.
James 5 vs. 12
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Let your yes be yes and your no be no. Mean whatever you say and say whatever you mean.
Don’t play with the heart of people so that God will not be silent to your request.
Have you been waiting on God to intervene? your waiting have come to an end because God is stepping in right now and your joy shall be filled in Jesus Name. All you have to do is to start fulfilling the promises you make from day to day.
Job in the bible was under enormous affliction for a long period of time but until He prayed for his friends his situation remained the same. But in Job chapter 42 vs. 10 the moment he prayed for his friends everything changed and God restored back to him more than he ever lost.
When you make any promise without fulfilling it you become a liar, you make others to lose trust in you, and you enter a debt. Unfulfilled promises also stop God from fulfilling His to you. So all you have to do is, try to fulfill any promise you make from now and those that you can still remember that you have not yet fulfilled.
Nothing will be able to stop you from enjoying the best things of life as you hearken to this word. I pray for the grace of God to rest upon you and enable you to fulfill the promises you make so that He will fulfill His own to you in His word. This is a week of wonder for you. You shall possess your possessions in Jesus name.
