THE POWER OF THE MIND AND THE BATTLES IN THE MIND
After the Holy Spirit, the next most powerful thing on earth is the MIND. People have suffered immensely by not using or misusing the mind. Others have enjoyed and profited maximally by using it appropriately. If you know what your mind can do, you will be amazed. You cannot rise above your mind, God cannot help you beyond what your mind can conceive and believe. The whole issue of Faith is the building up of your mind to believe God for anything. When God sees that you truly believe Him in your mind. It comes to pass. If you would not doubt it in your mind but take necessary steps because you believe God, it will come to pass. Your mind have unlimited powers.
God gave man a mind because whatever he/she can become is a function of the mind.
Proverbs 23 vs. 7
For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
The greatest empowerment is the empowerment of the mind. Wealth and riches are function of the mind. Poverty is nothing, people become poor when their mind is limited and refuse to work.
The development of the mind is personal, school does not empower your mind it only creates an opportunity for you to do so by your self. Schooling without your personal effort to develop your mind by yourself is vain. God will not increase you until your mind increases. So it is all about your mind, you are where you are today because of the level of your mind, to change your status, position and everything about you then change your mindset. Your mentality is a great determinant of your destiny.
Until you change your mindset your situation may remain the same.
HOW TO EMPOWER YOUR MIND FOR FULL PRODUCTIVITY
1. BY IMAGINATIONS: You can do anything if only you can imagine it long enough and strong enough. But unfortunately many people imagine the wrong things most of the time. Fear takes over their mental faculty and they start thinking of failures and poverty. A certain people were trying to build a tower that will touch heaven in Genesis chapter 11 vs. 4 to 9. And the building was almost reaching heaven, when God saw it He said THAT NOTHING CAN STOP WHAT THEY HAVE IMAGINED TO DO. The only way God stopped them was to change their language, He confused them by making them misunderstand themselves. So you see, nothing can stop whatever you imagine to do, or imagine becoming if only you can believe it and take steps to achieve it. Start imagining what God has said concerning you. You can even imagine how you want your day to end.
2. BY RENEWAL: God prescribed this form of empowerment in scriptures also in ROMANS 12 vs. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Your mind has the ability to be polluted and corrupted, it has the ability to imagine wrong and negative things and they may just come to pass, so it is always good to renew your mind daily with Gods word. Read inspirational books daily, mind what you see, hear or allow get into your mind. What enters your mind regularly formS your thoughts, determines your attitude and affects your destiny.
3. THINKING/READING: Thinking and reading are the exercises of the mind. But unfortunately many people hate reading, they hate details they prefer summaries. They don’t read anything so their mind is left empty, depreciates. If you don’t exercise your physical body you will not be physically- fit. So also if you don’t exercise your mind you will not be destiny- fit. Ideas come when you exercise your mind by reading and thinking and most of the time God gives ideas and inspirations to a studious mind.
More importantly as a Christian you have the mind of Christ, meaning you have every opportunity to be very great and successful, if only you can put your mind to work. IMAGINE GOOD THINGS ALWAYS, RENEW YOUR MIND DAILY, THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS, READ REGULARLY THEN YOUR MIND WILL START BECOMING BROAD, IDEAS WILL START ROLLING IN, YOUR MIND WILL THEN BE EMPOWERED THEN EVERY OTHER THING WILL FOLLOW. Let us now go to the next phase of this teaching.
THE BATTLES IN THE MIND.
The battles of this world are the battles of the mind. There is a constant battle going on everyday whether you like it or not. Satan is not at rest, he is going to and fro looking for who to attack and how to steal kill and destroy. And for every war there is a battle field, you may be aware of this war of life but are you aware of the battle field? The battle field is the mind. People refuse to accept Christ because the devil blinds their mind so that they will not believe 2nd Corinthians 4 vs. 4.
The battles in the mind include unbelief or doubt, fear, negative thinking, intimidation and a low self esteem. The devil tries to establish these in your mind so as to keep you under. He uses people to look down on you so that you will begin to look down on yourself, never look down on your self, For Christ to die for you, you must be very important. You are a peculiar person, a royal priesthood, a chosen generation. 1st peter 2 vs. 9. Cast down immediately negative thoughts that come to your mind from time to time. 2nd Corinthians 10 vs. 3 to 5. As you do these and many more like obeying Gods word you will win every war going on in your mind in Jesus name.
