MONTREAL -- The Montreal Alouettes agreed to a three-year contract with offensive lineman Luc Brodeur-Jourdain on Friday. The six-foot-three, 326-pound native of Saint-Hyacinthe, Que., was scheduled to become a free agent in February. An 08 sixth-round draft pick from Laval, Brodeur-Jourdain became Montreals starting centre in 2010 and has been part of two Grey Cup-winning teams (2009-10). "Luc is a very important signing for us," Montreal GM and head coach Jim Popp said in a statement. "Hes the quarterback of the offensive line. "What the public doesnt see is the amount of hours he logs on a weekly basis to not only prepare himself but the other offensive linemen. He is a great leader and always leads by example." Blunden tipped home a puck while going to the net at the 12:54 mark of the third period, to tie the game. Beskorowany made 37 saves, and saved two of four shots in the shootout.
