She revealed she is expecting her first child.
And it looked like pregnancy was suiting Alex Jones as she arrived at Matthew Freud's star-studded party on Wednesday night.
The One Show presenter positively glowed in a chic white mermaid prom dress and a brown trench coat for her arrival at the Primrose Hill venue.
Autumnal: Alex ensured she was wrapped up warm for the colder climes, sporting black tights and cosy boots

She joined an array of stars at the bash including Holly Candy who looked stunning in a low key black blazer, matching jeans and a black top.
The former Neighbours star wore her blonde hair loose around her shoulders, accessorising with a boxy black bag.
Alex announced her pregnancy at the beginning of September, announcing on Twitter, posting: 'Charlie & I are very happy to confirm that we're expecting a baby in the new year. Feel so lucky that we're about to become parents.
The bash also attracted the likes of Miranda Hart, Lenny Henry, Sir Bob Geldof and Mariella Frostrup.
Sir Bob looked unusually smart in a beige coat, matching hat and scarf and green trousers as he arrived with wife Jeanne Marine.
Mariella meanwhile, wore an eye-catching a see-through black lacy top, black trousers and leather jacket as she left the bash.
Comedian Miranda was spotted chatting with Matthew's sister Emma, with the BBC sitcom star dressed in fuchsia top and jeans.
The party was held to honor the departure of Chief Executive of Comic Relief Kevin Cahill after 26 years.
So naturally, Comic Relief activist and presenter Lenny Henry was on hand to mark the occasion, arriving with girlfriend Lisa Malkin.
PR guru Mathew was due to have another party this summer but it was cancelled earlier this summer after his late father Sir Clement Freud was exposed as a paedophile.
It emerged back in June that Sir Clement was a serial child abuser who targeted girls over four decades.
The party had originally been planned for mid June, coinciding with the airing of explosive TV documentary Exposure: Abused And Betrayed - A Life Sentence, which painted the former MP as a vicious sex attacker.
Mr Freud's mother, Lady Freud has already apologised to Sir Clement's victims, saying she is 'shocked, deeply saddened and profoundly sorry' for what he did to them.
She had been shown an early-release version of the documentary which alleged that Sir Clement - described as a national treasure by Gordon Brown at his funeral in 2009 - had abused two girls.
The documentary included the revelation that the broadcaster and former Liberal MP who died in 2009 had been 'on the radar' of child abuse charities even before his death.
