I am sorry should I be in the wrong thread. I'm in search of some advice regarding how to install a set of speakers. I'm operating my rear loudspeakers cordless by using a 5.8 GHz cordless speaker set. The transmitter usually goes into standby mode should there be no sound. However, my AV receiver will transmit a small hum when in standby which will keep the transmitter alert. The main problem is that my loudspeakers will keep sending out the same kind of humming sound while the AV receiver is in stand by. Strangely enough there is no hum received from my receiver when it's active. I would not feel that this is a ground loop problem. I don't know whether there are any good remedies for this particular challenge. Maybe I am going to have to physically remove the receiver from power each time. Thank you for offering tips.
