If you needed any additional proof that athleisure and activewear is continuing its reign in the fashion world, J.Crew can now offer evidence. The preppy retailer that you’ll find in many a Washingtonian’s work wardrobe has partnered with
new balance 580 herren to create their very first activewear line.
Ronnie Fieg and New Balance are a match made in collaborative heaven. Fieg’s tendencies for luxurious suede and leather, unique tonal color blockings, and visual storytelling fits perfectly in the realm of New Balance’s archival running models, and now the KITH founder will be the first to collaborate with the
new balance 988 this coming Friday, October 14th with his latest “Mykonos Collection”.
Named the
new balance 996, the boot is based on the familiar shape of the brand's iconic 500 series, but has a few key adjustments to make it ideal for the colder months. On the upper you'l find a highly durable Gore-Tex material combined with premium grey nubuck or black suede. There's also a high-cut ankle, giving you that extra warmth and protection from the mud, D-ring metal eyelets, and an ENCAP midsole for superior comfort.
Drawing from
new balance 997 series models, the New Balance Niobium features a durable Gore-Tex upper with premium grey nubuck or black suede options. A high-cut collar has been reinforced by a thicker sockliner, while D-ring metal eyelets give the sneakerboot a more rugged look and feel. All this sits atop a winterized ENCAP midsole, perfect for comfort during periods of long wears.
