RuneScape Founders To Design 15th Anniversary Content

RuneScape is an mmorpg game that deeply honors tradition, and so for its 15th anniversary celebration in 2016, its two founders will be returning to design a special "Gower Quest" for fans.

The RuneScape 15th anniversary content line-up was also recently unveiled, and among the exciting features that were confirmed in-development were a new game client technology "that will take RuneScape’s visuals
to a new level of fidelity" and four final quests for the God Wars storyline.

The fantasy online rpg will also welcome a new skill called Invention that lets players personalize weapons and armor, and even turn them into more technically advanced gear.

The RuneScape 15th anniversary logo has also been unveiled. It shows the iconic "R" logo of the browser mmo, a "15 years" shield insignia and a bunch of amazing artwork that has been made over the game's history.

Then building on the 15th anniversary bonanza, players can look forward to an eventful 2016 where they can explore a new continent called Zeah in Old School RuneScape to be rolled out in three parts.

Fans will also be able to witness the Chronicle multi-platform launch, and watch a feature documentary premiere.

For eSports fans, a high-stakes tournament that employs the newly launched Deadman Mode will take place at the end of March 2016.

"To reach this incredible 15-year anniversary milestone is astonishing for everybody working on RuneScape, especially as it continues to experience a fantastic resurgence of players," said Phil Mansell, vice president, RuneScape as part of the 15th anniversary content reveal.

"Next year will be another big step forward for the RuneScape franchise, with exciting new features, technology and even new games across multiple platformS – 2016 will be a year to remember."
