On your prom you want to look beautiful elegant and not like everybody else. Looking stunning doesn't always mean that you need the most expensive dress that is out there. If you want to look beautiful there are a few rules that you need to follow.

Buy prom attire in a color that flatters your skin tone. In the store you can try on prom dresses in different styles and colors to see what looks good on you.
If you, like most girls, haven't got the money for a unique designer dress full of glitter and glamour, just keep it simple. It doesn't matter if your dress hasn't got a lot of bling, often a plain dress is even more elegant because it puts all the attention on your beauty instead of drawing all the attention to the bling. you can glam your look up with beautiful accessories.


The shoes

Go for beautiful high heels. Open sandals look even extra fabulous for a party like this. Make sure your shoes have a color that matches with the color of your gown. If you wear stockings don't forget to take an extra pair just in case.

The accessories
Go for glamorous jewelry. put some (fake) diamonds in your ear and wear some beautiful bangles, but don't overdo it. If you go for big earrings also wearing a necklace can be too much. Try to find the right balance. If you want to wear a necklace make sure that it doesn't compete with the neckline of your gown. A diamond hair accessory can also be stunning.

Don't take a large bag with you, the smaller your bag the more elegant it looks. A small evening bag that matches with the color of your gown completes your look.

The hair and makeup
If you can afford it, make an appointment with your hairdresser for a glamorous hairdo. Your make up can also be more dramatic than you're used to. Make your eyes come out beautifully with some heavier eye makeup that you combine with a more neutral lip color or do it the other way around and make your lips pop out while you keep your eyes more natural. For inspiration, search on the internet or look at red carpet pictures of celebrities for the hairdo and make up look of your dreams.
