If you don't clean your brushes, you run a chance of getting bacteria.  You can get pink eye, eye infections, cuts, sores, and anything like that.  You would want to keep your brushes clean.  You don't need to clean it every time you do your makeup, just make sure you do it a couple of times.

You know every month, something around there, depending if you are doing makeup on your friends or on people you don't know, then you would want to clean it every time.  So, what you do if you have regular sharpened pencils, all you need to do is sharpen them.  Don't use a pencil sharpener like one you would get at school because that would ruin your pencils.

Once you're done with the eyeliner pencil you now continue to cleaning your brushes.  Next off is to get a makeup cleaner.  Pour it on a towel and dip your brushes in.  Don't go really hard on your brushes because they are natural hairs and sometimes they will fall apart so, be very gentle with it and get some more if you need it.  Then, let it air dry and it will be in brand new condition and ready for use.

For cleaning make-up brushes, I wash it from warm water with cleaning liquid solution.  Sure to clean your make-up brush once in a week.  Its very necessary to prevent your skin from damage.
