If you look at a TYPICAL woman and man in our society the woman has long hair and the man has short hair.
But why??
Why is it typical for a woman to have long hair and a man to have short hair?

May be because women give more attention to grow their heir than men do.

I'm not certain if there is biological reason for this, but is obvious women are weird to beautify themselves them men. Allowing grow hairs is one of such beautification, which men don't fancy.

I think is just a style both gender accustom to. B. Richard owner of virgin Airline has long hair even though is man.

I haven't come across any biological back up why female hair should be longer than male. I think is matter of life style as women always at their best to beautify themselves for one reason to the another, long hair is one of such beauty tools.

Its a cultural thing. Men have as much gene to grow long hair as do women. You can see it amongst men who choose to grow dreadlocks. The only difference is that men consistently trim their hair, while women hardly ever cut their hair. In some cultures men keep long hair, as some women keep short. For women who keep short hair, Janet Museveni, 1st lady of Uganda is an example.

Woa! I know a lot of great women with short hair. The greatest singer of Africa of our generation, named Lira, has short hair, she is then followed somehow somewhat by someone such as Zamajobe, as far as i've seen scenes going around.

In some parts of China it is very common for the women to have short hair, and a great amount of chinese female athletes has short hair.

The bald head woman is a standard of African beauty and African women. I think that is quite a remarkable one for us to always remember.
