When we look around it seems that African continent doesn't have a basic infrastructure needed for a great development, not that Africa doesn't have the resources but it seems that most leaders lack the ideals of both importance and how to have it in place. Please forum members what is your take on this?

Anything you might think of we need to make Africa a better home for all. it's really scary to know that in some African countries there is no proper roads(like mali, Congo), telephones(like Niger), electricity (Nigeria, Zimbabwe )  etc.

Africans both within and outside should vote for visionary and selfless leaders, there should be a mechanism to monitor public fund and projects and ensure that all directive and funds are invested in the right project. Isn't the leaders don't know the important of infrastructural  development but there are lack of accountability that marred the process.

How would visionary leaders be identified, is it by them saying they are visionary leaders, what they have done or achieved in their life before coming to politics, because I doubt if any leader in the affair of African countries would agree that he/she doesn't have vision before being elected, so what exactly is the missing link?

African states can improve infrastructural development by focusing on it , seeing it as a hallmark, make relevant policies that gear towards it.

Gloria, what political party aspirant has done or achieved in his/her life before coming to politics is a good indication what the person can do. Because you cannot give what you don't have but that which you have.
Personally I prefer looking things person have done and doing as parameter to know the person, not what the person is saying. So this should be applicable to political offices appointment too.
