Nigeria: Deepwater Oilfields to Generate U.S.$66 Billion Investments : Multinational oil and gas-producing companies in Nigeria, under the aegis of Oil Producers' Trade Section (OPTS) of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have stated that deepwater oilfields had the potential to generate $66 billion of investments for the country.

Seven Energy increases gas investment to $825m : Seven Energy International Limited, an independent Nigerian oil and gas exploration, development and production company founded in 2004, has increased its gas investment in the country to $825m.

Nigeria:FG Invests N5trn In 2,500mw Power : The Federal Government in a bid to curtail the epileptic power situation in the country has spent about N5 trillion ($31.45 billion) from 1999 till date. But it has only been able to increase the country's electricity generating capacity by about 2,500 mega watts over the last 14 years.
