Have you ever felt trapped in his career? employee stress and burning can account for a lot of dissatisfaction in your life. After all, you are at work around 8 hours a day or more. That's 1 / 3 of your day if you do not take into account sleep. That's a long time to be dissatisfied.

If you feel trapped, here are 6 great ways to find your ideal career:

1. Brainstorm on a sheet of paper - I've discussed this before and it's a strategy I use all the time. Take a pad of paper and write on top of its target in the form of questions. Then, just a list of 20 answers to your question. For example, you could write "What should I do with my time and my life?" Then sit for half an hour to an hour to find answers to that question. The key to this exercise is about 20 responses - not to leave until you have 20 responses. You can repeat every day until you get the answer you want.

2. Ask three close friends - Sometimes our friends know us better than ourselves. In a meeting with one of his friends mention that they are at a crossroads in his life and his career. Ask what they think you love. You may be surprised by the ease with which they can target their strengths and skills and the report of a perfect work area.

3. Ask your boss and colleagues - like his friends in the above example, your boss and coworkers will most likely see in a way not seen. In fact, it is likely more familiar with their strengths and weaknesses in the work environment. Compile all the responses it receives from them and see if any thread can be explored.

4. Call a headhunter - If you are looking for in your career, chances are you have a resume. Sometimes you can take a headhunter or recruiter during his time consuming and meet with them to pick through what could be good. I've done this at different times in my life and people seem willing to talk to people. After all, if not paid, neither are they. The ideas I get are usually good.

5. Take a career assessment test - There are several sites that might be able to take one of these tests for a fee. But the use of point of my "scouts" above, many scouts have this software and does not mind taking the test in his office. I have taken these tests twice in my life and usually last an hour or two, but are thoroughly. They ask you to answer a series of questions about what is good, what you enjoy doing, what they prefer to do more of what does not. If you take one, you may see some exciting new areas to explore in your life.

6. Keep a diary - Do you have a blog? If so, read, looking for common elements in their writing. Keep your eyes open for trends and activities you like, so I do not like. In fact, the search for examples of what they dislike and what frustrates you is almost as important as finding what I like. For example, if you hate a boss overwhelming, probably as a self-directed position. If you hate curious co-workers probably prefers his own office.

Discover what you really want to do with your life is the most important decision you can make. We spend 1 / 3 or more of our lives at work. So find the right career is important to keep a third of our lives happy and productive.
