It's amazing what a well written resume well-presented can do for your job search. Before you send yours out, follow this checklist to ensure you are sending high quality representation of yourself.

1. Grammar, spelling, punctuation - Use grammar and spell check function, print and read the document word by word. Spell checker does not know what it means "manager" when in fact by writing "manger."

2. Capitalization - Use a manual such as the Gregg Reference Manual if you do not know the rules of capitalization.

3. Punctuation - Check the correct use of commas and semicolons. Again, if you are unsure, refer to the Gregg Reference Manual.

4. Execution of sentences - Make sure you have not run add-ons that are difficult to read.

5. Consistency - You must be consistent with the use of their numbers (dates, money, numbers), plurals and abbreviations. For example, do not include a date of 8 / 2004 and then write another date as 03/15/2004. Also note the inclusion of software consistently (use abbreviation). MS Word and Microsoft Outlook are correct, but not consistent.

6. Education section - When you have a title, list only the year he got his title. When you put the dates, (ie: 9 / 1998 to 1 / 2002) many resume scanning systems will not recognize that won a title, only attended college for a period of time.

7. Ampersands - ampersands (&) do not belong to a resume. There are a few exceptions. An exception is the name of a well-known company (AT & T). Another exception is well-known industry terms (P & L).

8. Hyperlinks - All email addresses and websites, the list need to be deactivated in your resume. To do this in MS Word, select the link, go to "Insert" drop-down menu, scroll down and click "hyperlink" and in the lower left-had side of this screen should not be a small button says "Delete" when you find it, give it a little click and voila! Alternatively, you can highlight the link, right click on it and scroll down to "remove link" to deactivate the link.
