Perfect

When it works well, e-mail can be great. It is difficult to overcome e-mail for everything from being in contact with the family to request information from businesses or other organizations. To send the same message to several people? Communicate with someone across the continent? Upload photos, manuscripts or other information? For speed and efficiency, this means almost instant is one of the most convenient features of modern life.

But email is not unproblematic. If you enter the name of a recipient, but the message is bounced, I could not e-mail singing the praises. The same goes for attachments that will not open or discomfort such. With just a little patience, however, you can easily overcome most problems email. The following are four common problems of email along with solutions to overcome them.

Problem - Returned messages

This may be the most frustrating of all e-mail problems. After taking the time to post, click on the "send" and consider the task accomplished. But the next thing you know, the message appears in your inbox to an item that does not reach its recipient.

Solutions

First, take the simple step of verifying that the recipient address is entered correctly. This may seem obvious, but sometimes the only thing wrong is a misplaced letter, using "com" instead of "red" or some similar error. If you know the right direction, this is a simple matter of double checking each character. If not, you might have to experiment by sending multiple messages, or by entering alternative addresses with slight variations. Under this approach, just keep track of messages that are bounced back and compare to the global address list used. If you sent four variations, but only three were returned, you have solved the problem by process of elimination.

Sometimes the source of the problem lies with the receiver. If messages to other addresses, but do not go through here is contact the recipient by other means and report the situation. The cause may vary from a temporary problem with the recipient's server to a switch to another email provider, to a total in the box. In this case, simply waiting may be the best resource. Or a phone call or other communication that may be needed on your part to get the correct email address. If all messages are returned, you may have a connection problem. See below for details.

Problem 2 - You have lost your connection

Sometimes, a failure to send or receive e-mail can be traced to a loss of connection to your Internet service provider.

Solutions

If you see a "connection error" or "no response" message or otherwise determined that you could not connect, check to ensure that no physical problems.

First, check the cables and connections. If you use a dial-up modem, listen to make sure the sound produces sharp normal dialing. If not, the problem could be a loose connection. Locate the telephone cable that runs from the back of your computer to the phone jack, and then ensure that each end is connected perfectly.

If you do not hear the sound of dial expected, check the phone cord is in good condition. If it looks worn, replace with new. Other steps include making the main contacts are plugged into the right port, and control of the phone jack by plugging the cord into a different outlet. If you hear the dialing sound after any of these steps, you have made a successful connection.

Connection problems may be more common with dial-up modems to broadband connections, but the latter also depend on physical connections. A loose or improperly connected cable cable can be problematic. Sometimes there is a flaw that can best be addressed by repeating portions of the initial configuration process. A simple solution promoted by the representatives of service for some Verizon DSL (digital subscriber line) customers is to disconnect the three lines in the back of the modem and reconnect in a specified order. When this is done, the online connection is recovered immediately.

If you're online, but I get beaten off, the lost connection can be the result of a command of unwanted software. In Outlook Express, for example, is the command "Hang up when finished." If the box in front of this phrase is checked, the connection will automatically separate each time you send and download e-mail. Sometimes a click of your mouse will cause misdirected place a checkmark in the box even though they do not realize. Just click on the check to clear, and the falling cease business.

These two common problems-mail addresses are very easy to identify and rectify when it will make your email experience more enjoyable.
