aviation school of Nigeria Airforce
Here are the requirements ; 1>>Admission into programmes offered in
AFIT is open to the
general public. Candidates seeking
admission into AFIT
Certificate in Civil Engineering Technology,
Preliminary National Diploma (Pre-ND) programmes or
the National
Diploma (ND) programmes are to write
entrance
examination. Those intending to pursue
Preliminary Higher National Diploma (Pre-HND), Higher National
Diploma
(HND).
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes
would be
offered direct entry admission if they meet the entry
requirements. Candidates from foreign
armed forces are
also eligible for admission through
Headquarters Nigerian
Air Force (HQ NAF). Other candidates that are non-military
from foreign countries are also eligible to
apply for
admission directly. The eligibility criteria for
programmes
offered in AFIT are detailed below :< br /> Advanced Management and Supervisory
Courses: The
criterion for admission for advanced
management and
supervisory programmes is by nomination
from HQ NAF or HQ TC.
AFIT Certificate in Civil Engineering
Technology and Pre-
National Diploma (Pre-ND) Programmes :<
br /> (1) Pass in entrance examination.
(2) Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC with at least a
pass in English Language and credit passes in
3 subjects in
not more than 2 sittings. The subjects must
include
mathematics, physics or chemistry and one other subject
from additional mathematics, statistics,
technical drawing,
woodwork and metalwork.
National Diploma (ND) Programmes -
Aircraft Engineering Technology, Mechanical
Engineering
Technology & Electrical/Electronic
Engineering
Technology).
(1) Pass in entrance examination. (2) Minimum of WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO/NTC
with at least a
pass in English language and credit level
passes in 5
subjects in not more than 2 sittings. The
subjects must include: mathematics, physics, chemistry
and 2 other
subjects from additional mathematics,
biology, statistics,
technical drawing, auto-mechanics and metal
work. (3) Five credit level passes in an NBTE
recognized Pre-ND
course. The credit passes must include
mathematics,
physics, chemistry and any 2 of the other
science subjects listed in
Paragraph 21b
(2) above. Candidates must in addition obtain
at least a pass
in English Language.
National Diploma (ND) Business Studies :< br /> (1) Candidates should possess a
minimum of WASC/SSCE/
NECO/GCE with 5 credit passes in English
Language and
mathematics and 3 other subjects from
economics/ commerce, business methods, principles of
accounts,
statistics, geography, agricultural science,
government and
biology.
(2) Credit passes in an NBTE recognized Pre- ND examination
in English Language and mathematics and 3
other relevant
