I want to learn touch typing

I like writing, but I suck at typing.  How can I go about reconciling the two?

I had a look at the wiki entry for touch typing, and it had an abundance of sources for free sites, apps and everything, but it was a bit overwhelming.  I think I need some guidance.  Where do I begin? I need help as my  kitchen cabinets blog is taking up to much of my time.  Shall i start with a typing app, a book, lessons? I figure some of you guys must have had some training.  How'd you guys learn?

To me Typing app is the option to go.
