Author Topic: Can I still buy tracked 1-piece garage door hardware? (Read 1287 times)

I have been trying to find someone who still sells this type of hardware and springs as well, but I am not having any luck. I have asked my local dealers and they keep telling me it's best to go with a new sectional type garage door that everyone has. If I don't like that, then I should use one of the commercial type roll up doors. But I don't want either of these options. I have had a sectional door for many years, and I have had family who have had these old 1-piece doors. I like how they have fewer moving parts, and are just simple to maintain.

The doors I'm talking about have a single lift arm mounted mid way up door opening on both sides of the door, with one end connecting to the bottom of the door, a pivot point at the wall bracket, and at the other end, the top of the spring attaches to this arm, and is stretched down and connected either lower on the wall, or to the floor. I have also seen hardware like this where the spring attaches to the bracket, and then to the bottom of the door.
