Police in Rivers state has recovered the decapitated head of a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikwerre area of the state in another murder report from the Garden city. The head of the middle-aged man simply named, Ebube, who was kidnapped and now confirmed killed by suspected assassins was found in a pit at Isiokpo community in Ikwerre local government area of Rivers state.

It also quoted a senior police officer attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) as saying that some hoodlums have been nabbed in connection to the grisly murder. It was the hoodlums that led the police to their hideout where over four decapitated heads including Ebube's were found. Late Ebube's wife confirmed the report in a phone interview and said arrangements were being made to deposit the head of her late husband in the mortuary for the burial rites to begin. Ebube, a leader of the All Progressives Congress in Isiokpo community, was assassinated ahead of the March 19 rerun election in the state after he allegedly refused to dump from his party.
