I was at Federal Medical Centre Nguru today where I did a comprehensive report on the cases of chronic kidney disease that is highly prevalent in Yobe North particularly Gashu'a town. I was privileged to have an interview with the MD of the FMC, Dr Abubakar Muhammad Musa who disclosed to me that from 2013 to 2017 alone, the Hospital recorded a total of 968 established cases of Chronic Kidney Disease and most of the patients are from Bade LG.

I was also at Bade Emirate where I met with the Emir of Bade, HRH Abubakar Umar Suleiman who expressed concern over the growing cases of Kidney disease which bedevilled the community in recent time. The royal father revealed to me that, about three researches were carried out by different groups on the causes of the disease but unfortunately all the researches are inconclusive due to lack of funds to complete the investigation.

The aim of my report is to air it on National Television for the whole world to see the devastating situation the people of Yobe North are facing in order to draw the attention of the authorities concern on the need to carry out a full scale medical investigation on the causes of such terminal disease.

It's my hope however that, at the end of our effort, God will touch the heart of the privileged ones to come to the aid of the people of Yobe North.

Ya Allah kabawa marasa lafiyanmu lafiya mu kuma ka karemu.
