If you are eating for energy and longevity, try adding sea vegetables to your diet. Sea vegetables have been a staple of many civilizations for thousands of years. Asian cultures have been recognized for having longer lifespans than most cultures. There are many different types of sea vegetables including dulse and nori.
They are some of the most popular sea vegetables and can be found in most health food stores. They are an excellent source of chlorophyll, dietary fiber, iodine, calcium, iron sodium, potassium and magnesium to name a few.
You can use dulse granules to season food in place of salt since they lend a salty flavor to foods with a nutritional bang. Nori is often the seaweed you see wrapped around sushi. Nori sheets can also be used to make vegetable wraps. Another way to incorporate nori in to your diet is to crumble pieces and add it to your salads or soups.
You can also find nori strips to eat as snacks that are coated with different seasonings. Find one that you like. They make a great healthy snack. Sea vegetables are often inexpensive and easy to travel with.
