We've all heard that in order to stay in business online you need to build a targeted 'opt-in "list.

Well ... I really agree with that simply because this is where you will always have a steady source of direct free traffic (also known as "sticky traffic") to promote their offers or information regarding the coming years.

Makes sense, does not it?

And we all know the "Email" is where the money $ $ is actually made with regard to marketing your online business, as it gives you the ability to track your prospects until you decide to buy from you.

However, the problem usually occurs is that people do not know where to start when trying to build there own targeted Opt-In list.

Now for those of you who are new internet marketing and do not know what an "opt-in list, here is a quick definition:

An "opt-in" list is simply a database of peoples names and email addresses that have subscribed to a mailing list through a web form that allows the license owner of the list to send periodic e-mails on the subject you are interested in.

Notice how I said, "take that list owner permission to send email."

When you subscribe to your opt-in list you are giving permission to send information or offers related to the topic that interests them, this is known as' permission email marketing.

This is the most absolute security of email marketing which will not be accused of "spam".

This is very important that you understand this from the beginning.

So, now you have a clear idea in your mind of what an opt-in list is and how it will benefit you and your business, I think it's time to share with you the simple 'Ten Steps of the process " I've created for you on procedures to build your own object-in the list you can send your bids at any given moment to profit of $ $.


Step # 1. Choose your target market or niche.

This is a very important step because this is where you must find out who your target market will be for the product or service you offer.

For example, if I was interested in selling a book related to internet marketing, well, my target market would be internet marketing related.

Step # 2. Can your target market or niche is available online?

This is where you have to do a little research on whether or not your particular target market can be reached online.

To do this you need to research keywords with keywords related to your target market.

You can do this by using Overture keyword research tool located at the URL I've provided below.

Simply type the keywords related to your target market as planned.

This will give a detailed history of how many searches have been made in the last 30 days in the keywords related to your target market.

As a general rule, if specific keywords are not pulling in 15. 000 or more searches per month, then this is a market study would not simply because there is not much demand for it.

Step # 3. Are they making money in this niche?

Here is where you need to do some research on your competition to see if people are spending money in this niche.

You can do this by going to Google in http://www.google. com and type of targeted keywords related to your niche in the form provided.

This will give you a list of search results.

These results are within their competence, but more importantly, to the right you will notice small ads.

These are paid advertisements provided through Google Adwords.

This means that someone is willing to pay for advertising and paying attention to this particular niche and should be making money if they are willing to pay for advertising.

That's good news for you.

Step # 4. Use the forums to find your target market problems.

The forums are a great place to find out exactly what your potential customers are major problems there simply scan jobs and looking for common threads.

This way you will know immediately what your target market are the problems of TOP and how you can help solve a problem.

To find forums related to your niche Google just visit http://www. google.com and type in specific keywords '+ forums' after your keyword. (Eg, Internet Marketing + forums)

Step # 5. What prevents them from getting what they want?

This is where you have to figure out what is preventing them from getting what they want to solve the problems at hand, ie, this is where you need to work with them to find a solution to the problems there.

If you need a product or service of some kind.

Step # 6. What can you offer to solve the problems there?

This is where the money is being spent.

Now all you need to get their share of revenue is a product or service will solve your problem potential customers.

If you do not have a product or service of their own do not be discouraged.

I will give two resources where you can find products or services that you can become an affiliate for that relate to any niche that will pay you a commission for each sale you make by simple reference to the traffic on your website.

The two sites to visit are http://www.clickbank.com and http://www.associateprograms.com

Step # 7. Setting up a simple direct response mini-site.

This is where you set your main website generation with a tracking system that potential customers will opt-in to your list to begin receiving offers or information related to the topic or issue you are having.

Step # 8. Get an auto-responder account.

This is where you will lay the groundwork for the list below.

You must have an Auto-Responder account setup before you make your mini-site to go live because this is where your potential customers will come and show there name and email address so you can start building a list to send their offers or information regarding.

So do not miss this important step.

Step # 9. You need to figure out what "bait" for use.

What I mean by 'Bait' is ... What are you going to offer for free to get them to subscribe to your opt-in list.

Here are some examples of what can be used as "bait": books, special reports, mini-courses, coupons, etc.

These are the most common. It really depends on who you are targeting, so be creative.

Step # 10. Reach your target market.

This is the part where you send traffic to your website in order to get subscribers.

I will mention only two methods.

These methods are the most powerful and for good reason, they work.

The first method is to write articles.

By writing articles that show your target market that you are someone who knows how to help solve problems and there can be a possible solution for them.

This is the quickest way to build instant credibility instead.

The second method is to send targeted traffic to your mini-site in search engines Pay-Per-Click.

Pay-Per-Click search engines are where you offer in terms of keywords related to your target market and are in agreement with the highest bid for that key term.

Using PPC search engines that will take you in front of your target market instantly.

Writing articles gives you instant credibility and put you in front of thousands of readers, and Pay-Per-Click search engines will send highly targeted traffic to your website in minutes depending on which search engine PPC are using.

The more traffic you send to your website, the more subscribers you will receive.

It's simply a numbers game.
