1. Blog regularly - many of the best blogs post 10-20 times a day.
2. Create Authority items - instead of blogs frequently, then less frequently, but focus on job creation Authority - long articles that are very well together, which will attract the attention of other bloggers and users of social bookmarking sites as Digg, Reddit, etc.
3. Further comments on blogs - do not spam keywords in these, but rather use their own name and add value to the conversation.
4. Link out frequent industry leaders - to show some linklove to other bloggers in your niche. In turn, could eventually link if you have a quality message on a topic we have not covered yet.
5. Participate in Blog Carnivals - it is a way for bloggers in a niche that meet regularly and highlight the messages of each other blogs. You can find these in BlogCarnival.com index.
6. Do Guest Posts - not only for A-List bloggers, but B-List and beyond. Be sure to work some good material first, to make a good first impression.
7. Article Marketing - Join a site like ArticleMarketer.com and syndicate your articles to thousands of participating sites. If distributed through the web, these sites are required to link the user with a byline (see below).
8. Social excavation / Mixxing - join sites like Digg, Mixx, Bumpzee, etc and encourage users and / or friends to submit their stories.
9. Social Bookmarking - join del.icio. us, Furl, Wink, Backflip, etc, and submit your articles to these sites popular with their seeds in the community.
10. Use Great News - OK, that sounds better "Some ways to get readers" or "10 time-tested, Battle-hardend Traffic Techniques blog." Many readers are very fond of the "Top X" lists, or "How ..." jobs.
