Every day, thousands of people go online to make money, but most of them fail miserably, because I really think either one of the six myths or internet marketing, or all of them. You can read below and discover the grain of salt in them.
Myth # 1: Internet Marketing is easy
This is probably the biggest myth of all, let me tell you Internet marketing is difficult, requires time, effort, not to mention money and anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to sell a bunch of horse hockey. Of course it is comparatively easier to brick and mortar in that there is no inventory to carry, no shipping of goods has no sales staff and virtually no overhead, but a lot of work is still involved.
Myth # 2: Anyone can make money online
Friends, this is simply not true. Unless someone gets off their lazy chair and download / read everything you can about internet marketing, and put an action plan in motion, never make a dime on the Internet. Do nothing, do nothing.
Myth # 3: You can "get rich quick" on the net!
This is the trap that many newbie internet marketers falls into including myself when I started, why? because scammers make it look so easy, and let me tell you, chasing "get rich quick scheme" is a waste of time, money and energy. It just will not happen overnight, instead of doing some research and find out what people really want and need then give them all a sense of reality.
Myth # 4: It's FREE online business
This is one of my favorite myths because I believed in my first year of internet marketing and it was not true, then, is not true today. Compared with the opening of its first coffee shop or gift shop in downtown Los Angeles, internet business startup costs and maintenance cost is quite low. Once you have the domain configuration, you only pay for the connection to the Internet, advertising and continuing education, that's all. You can not expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Friends! it takes money to
earn money.
Myth # 5: It's too late to start an Internet business
Most internet marketers would love to hear people say, "It's too late, more competitions, I should pack my bags and go home, the Internet is too complicated, etc. ..". Do you know why? the less they have to compete with the best, which in turn make more money.
The fact is it's never too late to start anything and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that Internet is not going anywhere and you should too. Each year, statistics show the number of people shopping
online are increasing their spending dollars are growing and the number of people going online is increasing as well.
Myth # 6: Talking about money is just a tactic of BIG
As I said before, "it takes money to make money?" Well it's true, but it will be difficult to find experienced Internet marketers to tell how much they spend on promotion and advertising. Sometimes you have to dig a little deeper to find the truth in all the hype you read. It is a fact that people who do a lot of money online also spends a lot of money on advertising, tools, resources and knowledge to do the job.
If you are willing to take the necessary steps to make "big money" happen for you - it will. It takes time. You can criticize, be skeptical and make sure that "big money" can not happen to you - and it will not. Sit down and write a financial and a solid business plan. If you believe you will succeed you're right, if you believe that it will not work, you're right too.
In short, you have heard the story of the people that are making a fortune on the internet and how easy it is, but the reality is that some stories are not of this world or unrealistic, but just does not happen overnight. You just
have to apply some common sense into it, find what you enjoy doing, have a game plan, stay focus and my friend could find the right opportunity to make all your dreams come true.
