 The power of collecting e-mail address is incredible. As I mentioned in a previous article, you can expect between 1 and 10 percent of the visitors to make a purchase on your first visit to your website (conversion rate) and between 10 and 33 percent to give your email address (the rate of subscriptions). Often, visitors had no intention to buy any product, but were after information on the subject. Studies show that it often takes 7 communications before a customer buys a product. Believe me, after selling websites is very rare to get a 'yes' on the first visit. Web sites can be very complex so maybe not the best example, but people need more information and confidence before you are ready to buy.

We need to offer customers an amazing product that just can not say no to that they give us your email. Often people have no intention to deliver your email address, but a carefully planned report or mini-course that is delivered immediately to them is often enough incentive for them to build that bridge.

The method of collecting email addresses is called an autoresponder. That is, a database that stores the names and email addresses and can send pre-programmed e-mail addresses to recipients.
