If you have been searching the internet marketing, you've probably seen Adwords mentioned again and again. Why not cover the basics of the program.

And Then There Were Adwords ... Introduction

Adwords is the name of pay-per-click advertising offered by Google in its search engine and search engine that delivers ads on the network. A kind of anti-climatic, but I could not think of anything more dramatic.

In the world of Internet marketing, optimizing search engine is the best way to make large sums of money. Pursuing search engine optimization of pages set to appear high in search results for a keyword that you would like to be listed under. For example, you could be a poet and that your site appears in the first ranking in Google, Yahoo and MSN when someone searches for "poetry." To do this, you must optimize your pages, a topic beyond the scope of this article.

One problem with search engine optimization is that it is a difficult beast. Not everyone can get high, and even if you do, you can take from three to nine months to see the results of their work. That is a long time to wait, so the search engines came up with a short-term solution. While certainly were trying to be helpful, it is also a good way for them to make money.

The solution is called pay per click advertising. There are several names but the basic premise is quite simple. While waiting for the pages optimized for high rankings, you can create ads and pay for placement in various search engines. As a result, you get immediate traffic to your site. On the negative side, you have to pay for it which means you better be keeping an eye on your return on investment.

The pay-per-click Google Adwords is called and is one of the best out there. You can create a Google account, create an ad that links to your site and submit a credit card. Every time someone clicks on your ad, Google accounts. Bidding is a subject unto itself, but that is essentially how the process works with Google Adwords.

There are a couple of downsides to Google Adwords. My biggest pet peeve is the size of the ads. Allowed very little space, so that the classification of traffic before you click on your ad is quite difficult. Click fraud is the second area that makes people hot and bothered. Essentially, you just have to accept that a certain percentage of clicks are false. I have problems with accepting [a girlfriend a few people can see that], so try to get organic rankings as quickly as possible.

In general, however, Adwords has definitely proven to be the best platform for me. Some hate it, some love it. You have no right to rant in one way or another until you try.
