Marketing your practice on search engines is attractive to a lot of coaches. Traffic can be used to grow your subscriber list, sell more products and customers. May be a good way to grow your practice.

But it can also be a big disappointment nightmare.

Many companies have pumped a lot of time and money on search marketing efforts (SEO) only to find nothing.

A main reason for this is "putting the cart before the horse." In other words, we try to get high rankings in search engines before you have a solid site, web, sound.

What happens often?

Your website can be rejected or even banned from search engines if it was created by a web designer who has no knowledge of technical aspects of search engine.
You can lose your money when you try to join the search engines.

Some charge a nonrefundable fee for the submission of your website and does not guarantee to be included. If your site is not well done, they are rejected lose money.

Its pages are rendered invisible. If your site is coded in the right way, then much of its content does not go into the search engine people find or are listed on page 1334203 ... that almost no one visits.

On a higher level based on the content, if your site is interesting and valuable, others dare link to it. Good connections are vital to achieve good rankings.

If your site is not effective in converting traffic, not sold as many products or attract many customers. You will not have that many newsletter subscribers.

With all the information and hype out there can be easy to get wrapped up in the dream of high traffic that leads to tons of business. I have seen others make this mistake. I made a mistake.

So, how saddle his horse and oil the car to get the most out of your search engine marketing?

There is a wealth of information on developing a good website. Be sure to pay special attention to the "commercialization" of a good web site. Here are some key points to guide you.

• Make sure your site works "without search engines." That is, make sure the traffic is going to send it now, as the networks are doing what they want on their site.
• Make sure your site is "search engine." This means making sure that the code has been designed to enable search engines to access information on your site. This means getting an expert in search of expertise on hand when creating your site.
• Make sure you have a target audience. This is a good idea in general for your business, but it is also essential that said on its website. Make sure your site is attractive to that target audience.
• Make sure your site complies with the basic questions of usability, such as, "What is this place?" "Where do I start?" And "Why should I be here and not elsewhere? Answers to these questions will make your visitor moves through your website.
• Make sure your site is easy to navigate. Sit with at least one person in your target audience and see how they use your site. Seeing people doing anything else than what is intended is often an enlightening experience ... even the most advanced web designers.
• Make sure that your site will capture your target audience into different states to buy. " Some visitors are ready to buy a subscription to your newsletter. Some will be ready to buy an eBook. Some will want to buy one to one service.

Search engines are very good. They can take your business to higher levels. But without solid combined horse and buggy, you may be a bumpy ride.
