Here is a SEO myth that has not really been proven one way or another. The myth is that the links have the same class C IP address will not help. If you do not know what I'm talking about here is how you damage an IP address.

Thus, when the CCC is that the number should vary. The reasoning behind this is that someone could get web hosting and put 1,000 different sites and then link them all to a site trying to gain link popularity. So the search engines to stop using the IP of the sites to calculate how much weight to give the link.

There are very few people who do not believe that this myth is true only for the simple fact that so popular is shared hosting. If this myth is true, then all sites in the same I can not shared hosting server help each other with the classification.

There is some evidence that can prove this myth, however. I have followed many threads on this subject and have seen some results that make me a believer. The results basically show how a site with links to much less can sort out a site with links to a ton more. This is because the site has links to more than a ton of different class C IP links which has links fairer.

As I said I am a firm believer in the myth and I do not even like to refer to it as a myth, but until proven without a doubt going to call it just to make people happy. So when you are doing link building make sure you check the IP address of where your link will be placed to ensure that your link will pull more weight.
