SEO is undoubtedly the best method for generating traffic and profits. That said, it is necessary to understand the inherent conflict that can arise with SEO.

SEO conflicting expectations

SEO is both the technical effort and the art of getting your site highly ranked in search results on Google, Yahoo and MSN. There are two competing factors in the effort, time and volume of traffic, which can lead to clients who have unreasonable expectations.

Understanding optimization is the key to reasonable expectations of SEO. A mixture of short-term and long term is the best method of attack in most situations.
