SEO experts are constantly telling us about the importance of quality content and good quality backlinks to websites with relevant content. They also tell us that reciprocal links and page rank are of decreasing importance. Then instruct us on how to go about getting good links personally contact other websites, and propose a reciprocal link! Confused! Like much of the advice given to the designers of potential sites.

Personal experience with our own web site has shown that the following is correct and works;

· Content is the key. Lots of it, consistent with her dates, and must be well written and informative not only a sales pitch.

· The more pages you can create the best. Over 100 pages will highlight your site as important. Sites with only a few pages rarely appear on the first page of results from search engines.

• In the site ages its importance will increase. Those who received principles generally outweigh the sites below. Google also has an aging process of the links. Since the links approach six months of age will become more important.

· Reciprocal links once gone through the process of aging are being counted, even with the Google algorithm update.

· Writing articles and publications will produce a large number of backlinks. You should look to produce more than 30 articles and the target of about 250.

• Attach a blog to your site that is updated daily increase the speed at which the search engines visit your site and at the same time adding valuable content and links.

· Page Rank still has some importance in determining their position in the ranking, since it is based on links and content of your site. However, the page rank given by Google Toolbar is not necessarily accurate. A page rank can be measured more accurately using the details supplied by Google Sitemap statistics. Therefore generate a sitemap and submit it to Google.

The most important piece of advice is to design your site for visitors, not search engines. Have much information on the content as possible and keep graphics to a minimum.
