Google, being the largest search engine and most widely used and is very important to optimize your website. As a matter of fact, if you optimize your website so that Google only find its position in Yahoo! and MSN will jump higher than its ranking in Google. I have optimized many websites that appear in at least the first 20 ads on Google and found that in each case, a higher position in Yahoo! and MSN usually in the top 3 positions with a majority in number one points.

Almost everyone agrees that with Google content is king. So a good copy of the deed with the right amount of keyword phrases for keyword density is very important. And natural anchor text links is second to the throne, which has a lot of work and adequate time to do it correctly.

Third in line are keyword phrases (note I said the phrase, because a single word is almost impossible to optimize), which should be investigated to find the right phrase for you and are not used often in the content / text to achieve the proper density. It is often used and it hurts the ranking.

Fourth in line are the Meta description tag, which when used properly can actually bring visitors to your web site that usually do not get there. Of course there are other factors involved in getting that elusive number one spot.

But what most people usually overlook is what I call the fifth element that Google uses to determine the ranking of a website and that is the domain name.

People, even SEO companies, they do not know the importance of the domain name to Google or take the time to choose the right name for the website. Most just use your company name or to grant a "Cool" name for their websites. Now, unless your company is well known, or at least known in their field, using a company name, basically unknown makes no sense. Even more absurd is the "Cool" name.

The only reason to optimize your website is getting visitors from search engines, why not use all available tools to get the best possible rating for its website.

Use your domain name as one of those tools. Instead of your company name or "Cool", use a key phrase that describes your product or service. Take your time choosing the right name. Ensure that works best for your website. If you ask friends and relatives of the keywords they would use to find your product or services online. You may be surprised by what would be its use.

You have the keyword phrase that you know will work. But before you jump online and get the domain name, there are a couple of things you can still do.

Say you are the owner of Mike bikes and specializes in Colorado Mountain Bikes so that the figure to kill two birds with one stone and use the domain name mikescoloradomountainbikes.com to keep your name in it along with the use of keyword phrase. Now this might make sense to you, but you are not from Google. You will not like but you have to place the microphones of the name, because it is a dead weight.

So now you coloradomountainbikes. com but wait before recording keyboard use Colorado-mountain-bikes.com place. Why? Because Google sees this as three different words and are coloradomountainbikes.com as one word. When people are doing a search that is not used coloradomountainbikes, they will use mountain bikes in Colorado. The advantage is that your domain name becomes a keyword phrase used by Google when you search.
