GOOGLE BUSINESS VERIFICATION IS NOT COMPLETE, TELL ME THE EASY STEPS TO VERIFY MY BUSINESS

If you have ever tried searching for a restaurant, shop or any other type of business on Google, in some cases you might find a dedicated card at the top of the search results with directions, photos and other business details or you might not see anything other than the multiple results of which none particularly stands out. This is one of the benefits of Google business verification, as it helps in establishing a credible online presence, which is essential for any business these days.

Google Business Verification serves as a crucial step in enhancing your online visibility and credibility. Once your business is verified, it appears on Google Maps and in local search results, making it easier for potential customers to find you and the details of your business. If you're facing challenges with incomplete verification, fear not – this article presents a straightforward step by step guide to help you navigate the process with ease.

Step 1: Review and Optimize Your Business Details:
Before embarking on the journey for verification, take the time to review and optimize your business details so that when they are required during verification, there will be no discrepancies or mistakes. Ensure that your business name, address, phone number, website, and other information are accurate and up-to-date.

Step 2: Claim Your Business Listing:
Now you can truly begin by claiming your business listing on Google My Business. If you haven't already done so, visit the Google My Business website and sign in with your Google account. Follow the prompts to add your business details and verify ownership. However, if your business does not exist yet you can add it and then claim it via Google Maps by following these steps:
To add your business via GoogleMaps
·         Sign into Google Maps on your computer (can also be done on the smartphone app, although instructions are a little different).
·         Choose from three methods:
o   Enter your address in the search bar, click "Add your business" in the Business Profile. OR
o   Right-click on the map, then click "Add your business." OR
o   Click the Menu icon in the top left, then "Add your business."
Follow on-screen instructions to complete your Business Profile sign-up.
To claim your business via Google Maps:
·         Open Google Maps on your computer.
·         Enter the business name in the search bar.
·         Click the correct business name.
·         Choose "Claim this business" and then "Manage now."
o   For a different business, click "I own or manage another business."
·         Select a verification option and follow on-screen steps.

Step 3: Choosing a Verification Method:
Google currently offers various verification methods, and you can select the one that suits you best. The most common methods include:
·         Postcard Verification: Here, Google sends a postcard with a verification code to your business address. This is a popular method, and it usually takes around 1-2 weeks for the postcard to arrive.
·         Phone Verification: Some businesses are eligible for phone verification, in this case Google will call the business phone number you provide and provide a verification code.
·         Email Verification: In some cases, Google may offer email verification. Check if this option is available for your business.

Step 4: Postcard, Phone or Email Verification Process:
If you opt for postcard verification, keep an eye on your mailbox for the postcard from Google. Once you receive it, log in to your Google My Business account, click on "Verify now," and enter the verification code from the postcard. If you choose phone verification, ensure that the phone number you provide is accurate and easily accessible. When Google calls, answer the call and follow the instructions to enter the verification code. For email verification, check your inbox for the verification email from Google. Click on the verification link provided in the email to complete the process.
If this particular step proves to be a problem, you can contact Google My Business support via the help centre where you'll be able to complete a form outlining your issue, and expect a response from their support team after submitting the form.
The following steps simply outline best practices for your Google business profile upon verification.

Step 5: Add High-Quality Photos:
You can enhance your business profile by adding high-quality photos. Include images of your storefront, products and services. Visual content can create a positive impression and attract potential customers.

Step 6: Encourage Customer Reviews:
Once your business is verified, it is advisable to encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews on your Google My Business profile. Positive reviews not only boost your credibility but also help to improve your local search ranking.

Step 7: Regularly Update Your Profile:
Constantly keep your Google My Business profile updated with any changes, promotions, or events related to your business. An active and well-maintained profile contributes to your online presence and ease of access.

Step 8: Monitor Insights and Engage:
After verification, utilize the insights provided by Google My Business to understand how customers are interacting with your listing. Dedicate some time to respond to customer reviews and engage with your audience to foster a positive relationship.

Completing your Google Business Verification is a crucial step in enhancing your online presence and making your business credible and easily accessible by potential customers. By following these easy steps and selecting the verification method that suits you, you'll be able to breeze through the verification process and unlock the benefits of appearing on Google Maps and local search results. Remember, an accurately verified business profile builds trust and credibility, paving the way for increased visibility and growth.
