Started back in 1999 by listing an antique item on eBay using a buddy's account and computer.  I didn't even know how to make paragraph breaks or include images as eBay did not host images at that time, so my listing was bare.  I ended up getting double what I wanted for the item, so I figured there might just be something to this whole internet thing. I quit my job a few days later.  No kidding.  I really did, although I don't recommend doing that unless you have some savings as I did.

My first year on eBay was in mid five figures at a high profit margin, my second into six figures and before I left eBay selling I was in upper six figures.  As the economy changed, so did eBay and so did the chracteristics of the buyers so I swtiched to other internet marketing systems and am now quite happy with what I do.

This is interesting and encouraging start. So many folks out there started in loosing all they had due to one reason or the other.
