This article explains some things about SEO, and if you are interested, then it's worth reading, because you never know what you do not know.

Everyone wants to know how keywords affect our rankings, but to know you have to do a little work. Many say that keywords are the key to good search engine rankings, but are by no means the only factor.

If you need a tool to help you decide on your keywords, try Overture Term Suggestion Tool Search - which lets you test your keyword ranking statistics showing recent searches for them. It's a great tool when you have no idea of ??the keyword that you should choose, and that can give you a list of recently searched terms.

Keyword Density.

Keyword density refers to the number of keywords in the text on the amount of text there. Ratios recommended keyword density vary among search engines, but in general you should try to avoid that two to eight percent (major search engines prefer the bottom). Analysis Tools keywords can help optimize a site density of keywords. These tools are good if you're not sure what you're doing, because they are very intuitive and explain things as you go.

Having keywords.

Many SEO experts will tell you that keyword density of your text is not very important, and you should be careful not to overdo it. So is there a limit? How often should you use keywords? SEO experts will not be able to answer these questions for you, because nobody is really sure of the answer. The best answer is that it changes regularly, and you can never be sure - you have to experiment to see what works for you.

Location of keywords.

When testing the effects of keyword location, we found that pages with keywords in the top and bottom of the page ranked higher on Google pages with keywords in the middle.

I hope that what I have read so far has been informative. The following section should go a long way toward clearing up any uncertainty that may remain.

Many other search engines also give keywords more or less weight depending on its location, but keep in mind that the algorithm of each search engine is different. Here is a list of how most search engines give priority to key positions, from highest to lowest:

1. Domain Names.

2. Title of the page.

3. Titles (ie, H1, H2, etc.).

4. The body of the text (the first 2 to 3 KB usually has more).

5. Meta tags (especially the description).

6. Links (including keywords in the link text or URL links).

7. The alternative text (the 'alt' descriptions of the images).

In reality, however, keyword density is one of the areas where you have problems with your hands if you try to guess the search engines. Be cautious.

As your knowledge of SEO continues to grow, you begin to see how SEO fits into the overall scheme of things. Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important.
