There are two aspects to taking over the featured snippet.

1. Is your content structured and understandable by Google crawlers? If Google crawlers can't figure out what part of the page answers that specific question, you're not going to take over the featured snippet, no matter how epic your content might be.If that's the case with your page, you should start off by structuring the relevant information in tables and titles.

2. Is your content provides the most relevant information? Organizing your content and making it understandable by Google was the first step. But it's certainly now enough to take you to the top. Next step is to send signals of relevancy to Google. You can achieve that by driving the bounce rate down and increase time on page.
