Using forum posting to drive traffic

Publish relevant information to the forums and really contribute to the discussions. And have your signature along for your link will be there. When you visit sites with guestbook, forums, blogs or to leave behind its publication link. And people do click on it and find your site and make purchases.

But all the forums are screaming, "Do not abuse the forum rules" What are the rules of the forum? They do not want you to post a link, but offers help.
