As a Technical Service Consultant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our on-going success by delivering quality and timely technical services during the implementation of our products to our customers for all project deployments. Drawing upon your product/database/solutions expertise, you will also support the Operations and Sales teams by providing proposal support, and serve as a subject matter expert for technical analysis and specification efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
• Analyze business requirements and develop technical requirement specifications
• Learn and understand clients’ current technical environment and recommend possible modifications to ensure optimum integration with FreeBalance’s products/solutions
• Act as primary technical contact for the client during deployment and post-implementation
• Complete technical product installations and upgrades, including database and software installs and system tuning
• Collaboratively develop and deliver technical training to clients.
• Provide technical input to proposals
• Provide feedback to Sales and Product Management
• Development on technical issues and future product requirements based on interaction with clients
• Develop new or modify existing custom solutions, including formS and reports
• Perform IT and systems assessment at customer location as required.
• Ability to travel when required.
Education and Experience
• University Degree in relevant discipline, with a minimum of 5 years experience
• MCSE or equivalent Network Management
• Experience with applying technical expertise to contribute toward customer solutions.
• Experience in deploying J2EE Applications using Open Source Software such as Tomcat, JBoss and Database Administration skills on MS SQL 2008 R2, Oracle 11G R2-64 bit
Specialized Skills:
• Experience with management of MS Sharepoint
• TCP/IP network design and configuration (DNS, DHPC, WINS)
• Firewall administration and configuration for Cisco, HP firewalls, switches, routers and Anti Virus
• ANSI SOL skills
• Experience with SAN Fabric and Optical Fiber installation, configuration and management
• Web server administration and configuration (IIS, Apache, WebSpher)
• Experience configuring JBoss, Tomcat or WebSphere
• System imaging and VM Ware skills
• Windows Active Directory and LDAP
• Installing and configuring databases such as MS SQL 2008 and Oracle 11G
• Experience with data security and setting up user groups based on functional access
• Experience with LDAP and Active Directory Services
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to build effective internal and external relationships
• Excellent project management skills
• Advanced knowledge of all MS-Office applications.
