The dogs in kirikiri
Are a shade browner
Then the dogs in Adavy town Alakija
Was just the issue
At a latter start
When the moving spirit
Pushed me to visit
My early adolescent acade
Which if history can recall
Started when I told Ize
We must re-visit kirikiri together
So she can see through my eyes
What those early adolescent years
Help up my mirror
Was it the vegetable gardens
I a litter-kid imprisoned
I was to water twice daily with hard labour?
Or wsas it the basined vegetables
I had to hook
As a bare footed prefect
With pocket sized post office shorts
That showed the moulds
Of my flat ass
Waiting to be injected
With sick prisoners
The only difference being
I was an officers ward
Which quickly carried my eyes back
To those warders having the gates
Hoping one will recognize
The like of bensons face
With none smilary broad othedly
I quickly glanced back
At the opposite direction
Where poultry eyes
We swallowed two rates per week
Where poultry old layers
We defeathered two has per week
One for stew
The other for equsi-bitter leafed soup
Which never exempted
Ukodo with fresh fish in saturdayt mornings
But the truth is that
The workshop in between
Had suddly become a tank dump
Swamp grasses will not make me know
If that small fish-pond
Even all that
Did the moving spirit
See as latestdevelopment
More worrisome
Was the new mobilemaned security post
With no questions asked
I prodded on
