long distance relationship do work to an extent, depending on the party involve. for me I will say that " been distant from your lover, help to increase the intensity of the love both people will have for each other" And I prefer it to close relationship.

Important question to ask is what is considered as too distance and how often do you guys see each other. If a man stays in Nigeria and the lady does base in Spain and comes once in a year or two years, I don't see that relationship really working out, unless if they want to pretend.

Why not? Love not depend on distance. Love only depend on trust and feelings. That's the reason for distance doesn't matter for a relationship.

Yes, off course it works; however both the partners need common degree or close level of wisdom to understand each others - expectations, views and sentiments. Interests, if any involved, must be made clear as soon as possible. Relationships without interest or with common interests are stronger and go far.
