Imakwa onye'm bu? Do you know who I am? Egotistic words that have landed so many men in a lot of trouble. Always check your temper, always check your pride and ego. Enwehu ihe i ga eme has deposited so many people in the mortuary.

When you read daily news and hear what has led to so many deaths, sometimes you start wondering what is going on.

The other day I read how two men landed themselves in big trouble because somebody was chasing the wife of one of them. There are better ways to handle the situation than killing the randy man which has now condemned two more lives.

Anger. I will do this, I will do that. Issuing threats and making good on those threats just to save face has destroyed the lives of so many men. People have lost their lives over stupid things.

The other one I read was a bottle of beer was the problem and somebody died because of a N200 beverage. I've once seen two men engaged in a Tyson and James Douglas rematch along Mbaise road over N50. They would both spend more than N500 to recover from the blows they exchanged.

Enwegi ebe eji okwu na uka eje. Time has passed when you want to flex muscle with anybody. One punch has killed so many people. You don't know who hasn't eaten since two days and looking for who will conduct his funeral for him. A real man is one who controls himself in all situation at all times.

Take myself for example, despite all the lies leveled against me, you didn't see me shouting in anger or attacking anybody and at the right time, the truth prevailed. Even online where unfortunately we have some ill mannered and unruly people, kama okwu na uka I simply use the Block button instead of having somebody with a bad upbringing ruin my day.

We are losing too many people over meaningless things. Check your temper, check your pride and ego. If they ask you imakwa onye'm bu, be the coward and run away. The coward stays alive to tell stories about the hard man.

Have a blessed day and God bless you.
